What do you mean strawberry sorbet is in your meal plan? You can’t have ice cream every day! Oh, yes I can. If it fits in your macros, right? This is as skinny as it gets. This strawberry sorbet has a stunning 111 calories, a big fat ZERO in the fat department and 7 grams of protein. That fits into my meal plan for sure and it’s actually benefiting me by helping me get more fruit. I always gravitate to veggies and salads over fruits, so this helps me. Robert and I are starting a new meal plan this upcoming Monday to follow more of a 40/30/30 diet; nice and balanced, I hope. (more…)
Protein shakes plus frozen fruit are my favorite on the go breakfast and I love this strawberry mango protein smoothie! I usually make these if I have to go to school or work early, or before a morning gym session. My freezer is always stocked up with frozen strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mangoes, etc. Sometimes I even sneak in some spinach like this one here.
This is my current protein powder, I like it because it’s high protein but low carb. Now, I am NOT on a low carb diet, but I get plenty of good carbs from the fruit I throw in with it… plus chips are my weakness, shhh!!
This one is easy, just put 1 cup of frozen strawberries, 1/2 a cup of frozen mangoes and a scoop of protein powder, then fill the glass up with water to get a nice thick consistency. This one has 32 grams of protein in it, 45 GOOD carbs and 3 little grams of fat giving you a nice 275 calorie breakfast. Enjoy 🙂
Smoothies are definitely a go-to for me; perfect for breakfast on the go, a snack in between meals, a quick meal after the gym and even a dessert. People have been asking me, what kind of protein powder I use, when do I use it, what do I put in it and any recipes. (more…)
Okay, so this isn’t really an apple pie… I’m not sure what it is,
but I know that it came out INCREDIBLE!
I was amazing for a lighter version based off warm apple pie
topped with ice cream.
Yes, the ice cream is going to cost you some more calories;
totally worth it. (more…)
