Loaded Mushroom Burgers


These  loaded mushroom burgers are juicy and full of flavor, no bun required! I’ve actually eaten two of them today =D
Instead of putting everything on top of a plain turkey patty, I loaded the meat with everything you need; I mean, look at that cheese oozing out of it! These are great for meal prep since you can make a huge batch and freeze them to reheat. All you need is the patty since it’s already loaded up with the goodies right?! 

I did choose to throw a little extra mushrooms on the bed of lettuce under the burger, but if you don’t love mushrooms as much as me, this step is optional.food61

1. Take 1 cup of your mushrooms and diced them up. Also, here is the size that I cut the cheese into. When you’re finished, throw everything except the extra cup of mushrooms and the lettuce into a bowl.


2. Use your hands and mash together very well. If you don’t mix it well enough, toppings will be falling out everywhere! After mixed, divide into 4 equal patties and mold with your hands nice and tight.


 3. I cooked these on my stove top, so on medium heat (about a 6), cook patties 4-5 minutes each side. No pink!


4. While the burgers are cooking, use 2 lettuce leaves and a 1/4 cup of the extra mushrooms to prepare each plate.


When burgers are done, place on top and EAT! I put mustard on mine and that’s all I needed.
